As the first San Diego Professional Belly Dancer Resource Network meeting is getting closer we would like to provide some guidelines for the discussion of the day and how we can all prepare for the meeting:

Agenda:
- the function and responsibilities of a house dancer
- the function and responsibilities of a hired dancer

The function and responsibilities of a house dancer
- what is proper conduct for a house dancer with patrons? owners? hired dancers?
- what is proper etiquette for a house dancer with patrons? owners? hired dancers?
- what is included, but not limited to, professionalism as a house dancer? in relation to patrons? in relation to owners? in relation to hired dancers?
- what is considered unprofessional behavior/conduct by a house dancer?
- what elements, tasks and chores considered a part of the house dancer’s job description?
- what elements, tasks and chores are not considred a part of the house dancer’s job description?
- what is the representational responsibility of the house dancer on behalf of own business? the establishment? the industry?

- what is proper conduct for a hired dancer with patrons? owners? house dancers?
- what is proper etiquette for a hired dancer with patrons? owners? house dancers?
- what is included, but not limited to, professionalism as a hired dancer? in relation to patrons? in relation to owners? in relation to house dancers?
- what is considered unprofessional behavior/conduct by a hired dancer?
- what elements, tasks and chores considered a part of the hired dancer’s job description?
- what elements, tasks and chores are not considred a part of the hired dancer’s job description?
- what is the representational responsibility of the hired dancer on behalf of own business? the establishment? the industry?

If we come prepared with some points and notes on these questions we will be in a much better position to ensure that we have a time efficient and fruitful meeting.

Panel:
Give a brief presentation of your thoughts and practice on professionalism, work ethic and the job description of a house dancer, and then of a hired dancer. Reflect your current situation and feel free to use location specific examples.
